Confusious!?

Why do people never say what they mean. For some unknown reason people always say one thing to mean another. Apparently this is called "indefinite thinking." However this happens also to be one many meanings of this word. Thus science was developed, in essence, to stop Philosophers from Philosophizing. As we all know philosophy has no definite meaning. One uses deductive reasoning to draw out an "underlying meaning" but that also depends on the person. Each philosopher has a different meaning for a particular thing. The problem is that people are still using "indefinite thinking." We all use phrases like, "what I'm really trying to say is," or "what I mean is..." For odd reason people have a hard time skipping the bush and hitting the snake. Why do people find it so hard to say exactly what they mean?

Maybe because they don't wanna seem rude or too straightforward or something like that. But that pisses me off sometimes, though. I get impatient sometimes when people just sort of going around and around and not get straight to the point.

People don't say what they mean because people are too opinionated. They like to express a bit of themselves before they get to the point of their story.

I understand about people saying on thing & meaning something else. It is a result of who they are talking to. Intimidation plays a strong part in how someone response to a topic. Mainly shy people find this hard because of rejection of opinions. We all must find the confidence to speak our minds directly.

Get to the point! Skipping bushes and hitting snakes? Is there a value in writing with metaphors and imagery?

I for one get straight to the point unless I can't express myself well. I have little patience listening to people stretching things out.
